In 2011, there were 1,223 books submitted for the National Book Awards. The number of books by genre:
- Fiction - 315
- Nonfiction - 441
- Poetry - 189
- YPL- 278

When and where is the Awards Ceremony?
The National Book Awards Ceremony will be held on November 14, 2012 at Cipriani, Wall Street in New York City.
Can I come to the Awards Ceremony?
Admission to the Awards Ceremony is by invitation only. For more information regarding the Awards, contact the Foundation at (212) 685-0261.

Unfortunately, our budget does not allow us to donate books
to outside individuals or
programs other than those with which
we are currently affiliated.
